This special mural was created by Marie, an artist with a lifelong love of flowers. Fortunately, Texas offers an incredible diversity of native blooms, making it the perfect inspiration for this project. The mural also pays tribute to the legacy of Lady Bird Johnson, who championed the Texas Wildflower Project. Her vision transformed highways across the state into colorful corridors by promoting the planting of native wildflowers. Thanks to her efforts, bluebonnets and many other beloved species now blanket the landscape each spring.
